David is an award-winning film editor whose credits run from studio features to independent gems. He cut Chris Sanders' The Call of the Wild, Clay Kaytis' A Christmas Story Christmas, and served as VFX editor on Matt Reeves' Planet of the Apes films and Jon Favreau's The Jungle Book.
In 2018 he wrote, directed, and edited his own feature, American Folk — an unconventional road movie that critics compared to Once and called an indie gem worth seeking out.
He approaches the edit as the film's last rewrite: the place where performance, picture, and sound are finally tuned into a single rhythm.
